Kia is all set to launch the Carens Clavis in India next week. It will be available with three engine options, and the company has now revealed their ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures.
The Carens Clavis will be offered with a familiar set of engines. These include 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.
The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Its ARAI-claimed mileage is 15.34 km/l.
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit produces 158 BHP and 253 Nm. It will be available with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. The manual and iMT versions deliver 15.95 km/l, while the dual-clutch automatic version returns 16.66 km/l.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine pumps out 114 BHP and 250 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The claimed fuel efficiency figures are 19.54 km/l and 17.50 km/l, respectively.
Prices for the Kia Carens Clavis will be announced on May 23. The standard Carens will continue to be on sale. It will be available in a single variant.
